My stock paid for was sold at Makro Cornubia

I purchased a pallet of Amstel 660ml from Makro Cornubia, South Africa on Monday 9th of May 2022 and paid for delivery on Wednesday that week. Waiting for my delivery, I contacted the store to enquire as to what time to expect my delivery. I was then told my stock had been sold. How does a multinational company run their business with this level of incompetence. I have had no feedback as to how this matter will be resolved or in future what measures will be put in place so this does not happen again.
