Monthly charges to account

I have had a Makro account that I have been paying loyally for the last few years without any issues, recently a debt collecting company phoned me saying I owed on my makro account. We purchased a television on my account, and then settled the balance after a few weeks, I paid an amount of R2000 on my debit card and the other amount was cash, the teller then put everything through as cash, and didn't even know how to reverse the transaction. Since then (this is a year ago) I again purchased 2 bicycles and then paid them off the end off that month and asked if I can close the account, and this person told me it can stay open there are no charges.<br> <br> Now I apparently owe Makro money (after a year they only contact me) because I have not received one statement from them, I have been trying now for 4 weeks to get a statement from them but still nothing.<br> <br>
