Missing Items in Shopping bag - Call centre just cuts you off and does not call back

The cashier charged me for all items but did not put all items in the bag. Items are packed in the bag out of customer view at the cigarette counter. Security also declined to check the invoice before leaving, they just waved me on. I have filed a complaint and did not even get a reference or call back. Your helpline cuts me off all the time. I only noticed when I got home that the item was missing. I have requested an investigation to determine from the camera footage where the missing item went. It certainly did not go into my bag! The invoice was also ticked off everywhere by hand by the people who packed the items to make it look as if the security had checked it. Nobody could care less or even call me back.
