Misleading information and poor service

I went to Makro Vaal a while ago to find out about a gas stove and gas hob etc. I was given information that when I purchase it from Makro I have an option of paying R750-00 and then Makro sends someone to do the installation, all fiitings etc. inclusive except for the gas bottle and cage.

I went back on Saturday 17 September 2016 to purchase the appliances, I specifically asked if the Defy gas stove has the flame failure safety system and I was informed by Suan and his assistant with all confidence that all the stoves on the floor have the flame failure safety systems and all have the automatic flame ignition. I was impressed by this. Then Suan also asked me if he could send someone to do the installation for me, I explained to him that it should be at 2 different properties not far from each other, And the one property where the stove should be installed already has a gas line installed and that it should only be connected to this. He said it is fine he will organise it like that, I would only pay R400-00 call out fee and then any additional cost I would have to cover. Being under the impression as I was previously told about the R750-00 for installation that I would then only pay extra should there be extra piping or other fittings to be provided I accepted.

It took so long for them to fetch the appliances from the back I left and went back on Sunday the 18th to do pay and collect.

The Monday the "installer" from Servisure arrived only to give a quote, and was not even aware of the installation at 2 different properties. He quoted me R1850-00 and then gives a R400-00 discount (voucher) - which I have actually paid for already- and I was informed that the stove cannot be connected to the existing gas line because it does not have flame failure safety so the gas bottle cannot be outside it must be inside a cupboard in the house.

I am very disappointed with this situation for 2 reasons :

The first is why I had to pay R400-00 for some to only give a quote when there are many people in the are who do quotes for free. I want my R400-00 paid back to me because I was made to believe it was to cover the installation cost, but it was actually a call out fee only, to be deducted from the installation price should I accept the quote.

The second is I was sold an appliance under false guidance which I cannot use now and it is now my problem to correct the matter and travel 50 km to return the appliacne and request my money back.

I find it unfair that a sales person who is suppose to have knowledge about the appliances can say anything to get a customer to make him believe he is buying the best product and then the customer has to go through all the trouble to return the product at the end and request his money back.

Please assist.
