Mislead and deceive the Public on adverts

Product ID 33929OEA More for less promotion for R1599. This is for a JBL Flip 4 plus JBL T450 Headphone.

On 21/08/2017 my wife contacted Makro Woodmead, send them the copied advert and enquired about the promotion. She was then informed that they don't have stock but Germiston does have. She then asked them to get 2 for her.

On the 23/08/2017 when she inquired again she was told the promotion is no longer on and the advert was removed, she was then told that the JBL Flip 4 only cost suddenly R1899. This is truly pathetic for such a big Company. Now how do I tell my Son of 11 years this bad news, "Sorry my Son Makro is devious you don't have enough money anymore? But hew saw the add and now questions me as if I am the one not wanting to buy it for him.

Makro must rather not advertise if they can't hounor their Adverti*****ts. PATHETIC!!!!

Consumer Protection Act 30(1) A supplier must not advertise any particular goods or services as being available at a specified price in a manner that may result in consumers being misled or deceived in any respect relating to the actual availability of those goods or services from that supplier, at that advertised price.
