Misinformation

On the 28.10.2017 around 15:100 I was at Makro.There was laundry basket on sale labelling of the price on shelves was R99.00. I took the basket on sale, when the teller scans it the price was R249.00. I then told her that the price on shelf is R99.00.She then asked one of the staff on the floor to get her the price for the basket on sale. After waiting for 8 minutes.The person that was sent to get the price came with barcode price of R99.00 .Then the teller informed one the supervisors about the price of the basket.The supervisor phone the manager, I was told that the correct price is R249. I didn't buy the basket. I didn't fight to get the basket with the price on shelves.Incident like have happened in front of me at Makro where customers will fight and get what they want due to misinformation. I'm the loyal customers at Makro, but the service I have experienced on Saturday was it good.It left me with questions.The teller by the name of Sbongile that was at teller number 14 was do friendly and helpful.Any there lot of hyper shops in Pietermaritzburg the competition is big.Bad customers service Wil make them loose customers.
