My name is maanda oder number OD *** I bought a generator at makro online, I return the item the courier guy come to collect it however those courier keeps coming back to delivery same item, I called the customer landline *** give me a reference number #311PP to escalate the refund process, yesterday I was supposed to get a refund but nothing same courier try deliver same item, when I call them, agent insist I must collect the item can anyone help me please

I am updating my review because Makro is now acting in complete bad faith. A senior representative called me to verbally state that my refund for a RATO Petrol Generator is declined because "fuel was found inside the machine."
This excuse is legally invalid under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). The generator was falsely advertised online as a low-noise 66dB residential unit. It is physically impossible for a consumer to test the noise level of a petrol engine without putting fuel inside it to start it up.
Makro's official courier network successfully collected the machine, and tracking explicitly logs it as "Returned to Sender" in their possession since 29 May 2026. Makro is currently withholding both my physical product and my R 4,800.00.
I have officially rejected their verbal decision. A formal legal case has been successfully opened with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman (CGSO) under Case Number: ***, and a formal card chargeback dispute has been logged with African Bank. I will not accept redelivery of a falsely advertised product. Release my refund immediately.
