Makro / Vodacom contract ****

I spent two hours in the Makro Carnival store to port my phone number from pre paid to contract, during which time i was told that even though i am unable to recover my sim car number at the moment i can simply return the weekend when i was able to recover the sim car number (the contract would still be processed). So i return to today and after 40 minutes of waiting at Makro the Makro representative tells me that i need to go to vodacom to port the number, as this is something that only vodacom can do, they are not linked. I then went to vodacom in carnival mall, where the Vodacom representative informed me that i cannot port the number as Makro have activate the contract and that as per the Vodacom representative Makro and Vodacom are not associated. He has also informed me that i need to perform a contract cancellation at Makro. I am now heading back to Makro to do just that, I am expecting to hear that there will no doubt be some fee associated with this as it appears to be an excellent ****. Get you you sign up knowing you cant lose your number, mess it up, force you to either have two contracts or force you to pay for their mistake, repeat.
