Makro Supposed to be Pensioner Discounts

I went to Makro for the first time in a while today. Only one of my purchases qualified for a pensioner discount. When i queried it with the Manager I was told they dont give discount on small margin products. I asked how we were to know what has a discount and what is not as it is not displayed. I was told, when you pay. Extremely disappointed in the supposed to be pensioner discounts. Makro is the only place that i have had such a experience.
