MAKRO SOLD ME DIRTY PRE-USED EARPHONES

I ordered Lenovo earphones from Makro in December. Upon delivery, it was clear that the box had been opened previously. I then noticed that the earphones were not new but had clearly been used - they were, in fact, dirty from previous use with human residue sticking to the in-ear pieces (how distrusting). I notified Makro on the same day and sent photographs to demonstrate what had been delivered as supposedly new. They just couldn't care. Despite a few calls and emails after a frustrating system issue which led me to believe that the return had been processed, this has not happened and now the website says that the item cannot be returned. I cannot fathom how Makro would send out a pre-used item, still dirty, pretending the item to be new, particularly where they should know that it is a matter of personal hygiene. I would like to extend a challenge to the CEO of Makro to see whether he would be willing to stick these earphones they sold me in his ears.
