Makro silverlakes are *****s and robbing consumers of their hard earned money

I dont see the need to have a makro store card when you purchase, you have to apply for it and give all the necessary information including address and contact details but they are failing customers regardless of having been provided all this information. My husband bought a bosch dishwasher at makro silverlakes in Pretoria, it was 2016 on a black friday, it was a busy day and raining so he opted to collect for himself instead of store delivery. Apparently it was meant to be a surprise for me and was bought cash R6999. For some medical condition I can't disclose he has forgetful mind and forgot to collect the machine, makro never attempted to make some follow up or even contact him when he did not pick it up for 6months. 2018 we were pregnant and I was not coping with home duties, I asked him to buy me a dishwasher and he said but I bought at makro, he went to makro silverlakes and enquired, he was reprinted a slip that proved he had purchased that item using his makro card but the store refused to give him the dishwasher or his money back saying 6months has elapsed according to their operational standards. We tried talking to them including their large appliance manager who refused to refund us but instead said he can give us a R1000 discount if we buy another one of which we refused to take that offer because we felt like it was a ****************. We contacted their head office and they were able to trace back the dishwasher to a new branch in riversands fourways, so to me this basically means they want to make double purchase from the same item. We tried to take up the matter with consumer goods and services ombuds to our vain but i feel like they also failed us and did not also explain to us why our money was forfeited, they closed the matter without proper explanation. So in my opinion CGSO failed us too, they work hand in hand with this retail stores and I've lost confidence in them. Makro silverlakes are *****s and robbing consumers of their money especially if you are not a regular client and black for that matter.
