Makro sharing private and personal details with everyone

I order a navy backpack for my daughter and I received a green one, which I had to return for a refund because by the time I would receive the replacement, the schools would have opened and I wouldn't need it anymore. After I completed the return form and logged it on line, I started receiving email confirmations of more than 50 individuals who were either returning, exchanging or missing items from their orders. What bothered me about the whole thing however is the fact that it shows people's personal information, cellphone numbers, emails, home/work address. I found this breach to be very disturbing because it means my details have also been shared with unknown people out there. I am never buying at Makro online, ever again!!!!
