Makro Service

After various reports to Makro Mbombela and receiving the cold shoulder and non committal remarks from the floor manager, I wrote the following email on Jan 10, 2022 to Makro Care: I have bought a Defy Fridge on 18 Dec 2020. On 22 Dec 2021 I have reported it broken to Makro Mbombela. I had to report it a second time as the 1st report was not recorded. I even visited the Floor Manager of the appliances to follow up on the repair. He was very non committal and I got the idea he did not really give a damn as I am a pensioner and will not take the matter further.

The Defy technician, Moses, from the Defy Service centre in Mbombela , cam to inspect the fridge to see what is wrong with it. He was really very helpful. He had to order a compressor as that was the initial indication. Today, 10 Jan 2022, he came to replace it but found that that was not the problem and he will have to come back. Again he was exceptional helpful.

I got a very friendly reply back from Thandiwe Mpanza on Jan 10 less than 1h30min later.

Today Jan 12, 2022 the Defy Service Center came and fixed the fridge finally. Thank you Thandiwe for the intervention and thank you Moses for the good service.

My question remains: Why do we get good service from some people at Makro Mbombela and the senior people see you as an annoyance disturbing their day. I strongly believe that as loyal Makro customers we deserve to be treated with the same loyalty that we show.
