MAKRO SELLS GOODS THAT ARE OUT OF BEST BEFORE DATE

On the 25th March 2026 I went to Makro Woodmead to get groceries. In this list I had to get snacks for my children's lunchbox. To cut the long story short, one of the large packet of Thunders Popcorns had a best before date of the 1st March 2026. We discovered this a couple of days after having fed my children these snacks and after trying them out myself and realizing that something is wrong. 11th April 2026 After I escalated this, no one at Makro saw the seriousness of this, a very arrogant Siphamandla Mthethwa told me he cant collect the packet because its a store bough order, I must drive to the store for a refund. No sincerity or indication of how serious they take this matter. I mean, mine and my childrens health could be at risk. I told him to escalate this to senior management for a quick response because I am not driving that far just to get a sorry and +- R100 refund. Petrol is expensive. Siphamandla still has not responded, his arrogance told him to close the query and call it a day.
