Makro sells faulty products and acknowledges this
Hi.
Sadly enough I had to experience the worst customer service ever when visiting the Makro store in Springfield Park, Durban three days ago.
The lady who is in charge of Returns, Mrs Bux, informed me that Makro believes it is perfectly ok to purchase an iPad of 5000 rand in your store, and that it is not your problem if the product breaks after a less than a year. If I had a problem with this I was more than welcome to pay for a courier fee, service fee and repair fee, which would come up to the same price as I paid for my iPad last year. She did confirm she was aware of the hardware problem of this specific iPad mini and Mrs Bux then informed me that if I was not happy with her solution I was more than welcome to enter the store and just purchase another iPad.
I was astonished by how rude Mrs Bux was and also very surprised about Makro?s view on customer service. I did contact your head office regarding this matter, and was promised to be contacted by management within 48 hours. Makrohave not yet contacted me.
