Makro Sells ******* and has VERY bad return policies.
We purchased a set of pots that came as a special bundle. The pots claim to be Stainless steel, but within weeks they started to rust and stain. Due to health reasons we changed the *****s in the handles due to the rust, and we could have lived with that, but when the lids started to also rust, we returned the set to Makro. Weeks later we were told to come back, and instead of a refund or account credit, we were given a new set of the same pots. I was very unhappy about this, because I knew, it would only be a matter of time before they rust. But there was no negotiation. This was my only option. Take a new set of pots or nothing. We were told, that this was the decision of the supplier. Makro has no influence over that. What????? Well, we've had the new set for less than two weeks and already one of the pots has started to rust, this time the lid. The rest will follow. What utter ******* we were sold under the guise of "Stainless Steel". Makro, you love to sell junky stuff, especially on special. I should have learned my lesson by now. But you can be sure, that I will never buy another product from you. I can't believe that I wasn't even able to return this **** or at the very least, VERY LOW QUALITY "stainless steel" and receive a refund for it. I will shop at Takealot in future, because I never once have had an issue when returning items that dissapoint.

Hello Louis
Thank you for your email. We purchased the pots as a part of a special deal bundle from the Montague store (in-store). UnfortunatelyI don't have the slip, but it would be recorded in my Makro card. I'll give you that number in a moment.
The bundle consisted of the set of pots, a metal tray and some cooking utensils. When the *****s started to rust shortly after purchase, wereplaced them with stainless steel *****s thinking that they'd just used cheap *****s and the rest would be okay. But then the lids startedto rust, and the underneaths of the pots got stains that can't be removed as well.
When we took the set back to makro returns, we were told that they would send the pots back to the supplier who would assess the pots and they would revert in up to 6 weeks time with an answer. Unfortunately, I had to go back to using my old pots in the meanwhile. Whenwe got the call to go back to returns, we took the rest of the set with us (as yet unused), as they didn't want to take those from us the firsttime. After waiting ages, the lady at returns put the same box back on the table with a new set of pots inside it and when I complained thatthe same would happen to these ones as they are exactly the same type and quality, she told me that this was the decision of the supplierand that Makro has no influence over it. I was very upset and my complaint was heard by every person working in returns, but nobodycorrected her, leading me to believe that this truly is the Makro policy. I refused to sign the form she wanted me to sign based on the factthat I could not bring myself to accept what was given to me. She told me that it is okay, I don't need to sign it, and told me just to takethe pots. Which as you know, have started to rust already.
Here is my Makro card number to track the purchase and return:

Sorry, just to correct myself. I'm not even sure it was a form that she asked me to sign, it looked like a computer print-out of sorts.
Sincerely,Clare
