Makro selling Defective LG TVs and aware of it

I Purchased 2 LG 55 UHD Smart LED TVs from Makro Riversands on 30 November 2017. The TVs remained sealed until I was ready to mount the TVs on the wall on weekend. On 2 December I opened one TV box and tested to find it does not have a Magic remote and that he USB hard drive does not work. I did not open the second TV but decided to return them for refund. At customer care they tested the TV with LG consultant and agreed it was faulty. Another sales person was in passing mentioned that some LG TVs are faulty and we should test the display model. We tested the display model and it worked perfectly. Then opened my second TV that was still sealed which also worked perfectly. There was no other stock available so I informed that I could wait and don’t want any refund. As per Makro policy I had to take a refund then come back when stock arrived. 3 days later the sales lady called to inform stock had arrived and she would also inform Department manager. The Manager Nishaal then refused to sell the TV at same price and we debated for 30 minutes before he said he would make a phone call then agreed. He then informed that he was only allowing one TV to be checked if working and no other. This was unreasonable as it could be a defective TV like the first one. He indicated that we should pay for the TV then immediately hand the TV in to LG for repairs. I did not agree to this and he refused to test any other TV.He further used an analogy that I can buy 2 laptops and one will work and not the other and this is normal. I refused to accept this story. We left the store unhappy with a credit note that I did not want and without the TV. I am saddened to have spent at least 20 hours at Makro over 4 days to sort and nothing. It’s cost me time and money to get there with a large vehicle to fetch and drop off the TV on 3 occasions. Can some executive come to the rescue as I am still sitting with a high value Makro credit note and no TV.Is it right to sell a customer a TV without checking that it’s not defective. Is it right to pay a high price for a product then immediately send it in for repairs without item leaving the store. I also bought a 55 LG smart TV from 8 months ago and did not test its USB function with confidence that it worked. To my surprise, I found that the 8 month old TV USB function is also defective. I await your resolution as I am very unhappy with Makro deliberately selling defective LG TVs and putting stress and additional costs to customer to sort.
