Makro refusing to close my credit card after I have settled the outstanding balance.

I opened credit card at makro in 2021 then in September 2024 I decided that I no longer need debts. I went to the shop in Germiston branch and I settled the debt and I asked for my account to be closed. I was told that the account will be closed after 2 weeks. My account is still not closed to date in 2025 after I settled the account in 2024.
