Makro Refund no response

Makro cannot process a simple refund. I have been trying to get a refund on an online only item for three weeks now and I keep getting the answer its been escalated to the relevant department without ever receiving a response from said department. This is ridiculous- Makro used to be a trustworthy retailer.
