Makro printer policy

I purchased an epson printer on the 11/06/25 from Makro Toti, the printer jammed with me making less than 50 copies. I took it back to makro on the 12/06/25 at around 11:00 and was told that they had to send it for an assessment back to epson, which wasn't very clear to me at the time as I didn't purchase the printer from epson directly. And I had to wait for epson to get back to makro with feedback. While in the returns division, an assistant for makro insinuated that I broke the printer. I've been twice through the care warranty slips that come with the printer and there's nothing stating anything about an assessment being done. The manager of makro told me that it's on my slip. Given, the explanation is there but it's left to whoever is translating it to say what it means. It's open ended. I pointed out to the manager that this wasn't informed to me before I purchased the printer, to which the manager again rep**** it's on my invoice, I again tried to explain to her that if I knew this before I purchased the printer then I would have looked at another make of printer to purchase, again she rep**** it's on my purchase invoice and I should read it. I don't think she understood the point I was making. If I knew about this assessment process which I was told will be done by the 13/06/2025 as now been moved to 17/06/2025. And this printer isn't a day old. Is this what we are to expect from Makro customer care. And when I told them I'll be writing a review in Hello Peter the department manager told me that I must go ahead and do it. So this is me complaining, as requested by the manager. Makro seems to have lost touch with their customers. I was initially told that it's epson policy for the assessment, but it doesn't state that on their packaging, and when I told the lady I don't have any dealings with epson she turned around and told me it's maakros policy. Which should in my opinion be told to customers before we purchase. Not make us seem as if we stupid for not reading the fine print.
