Makro Port Elizabeth - extended warranty complain
I am so disappointed with service that I received at Makro Port Elizabeth. I bought a 5 plate AEG stove in 2021, gas stove, but electrical oven. I am a first time gas stove owner. I paid R10 000 and an additional R1000 for extended warranty for 10 years. I had peace of mind that I am covered for the next 10 years. My oven is giving me problems now, bear in mind it's electrical, now they insist on a gas Certificate which they need before they fix my electrical stove. I am struggling to see the relevance between the gas Certificate and the electrical stove. They ommited to tell me that it's an requirement for extended warranty, yet they took my money for warranty without an certificate. Why, did they not contact me to tell me in order for the warranty to be valid, I must obtain a certificate. Why take my money. Also, how am I supposed to know as a first time gas stove owner. Why do you need a certificate for a electrical oven. I spend R11 000 thinking it's a good investment because we are struggling during load shedding.
This response is disappointing. You are unable to assist, you take no accountability for failure on your side.
An apology does not fix my oven. As I explained to the manager that I bought that stove with my bonus, it's not money that is lying around. I actually sacrificed to buy it, yet you say you are unable to assist.
I am not happy at all.
