Makro Port Elizabeth does not care for healthcare workers

I went to the Port Elizabeth Makro today, (17/05/2020), there was quite a long queue.

I am an essential services provider, i.e, medical doctor in state, with the relevent permits to prove thereof.

I enquired at the door, if healthcare workers with the relevent permits still need to to follow the queue.

A makro employee at the door, then asked for assistance from one of the store personnel.

I was instructed that I have to follow the queue, despite having all my permits on hand. We heathcare workers get only one hour breaks or so, to get groceries, etc, before we have to get back to work.

While all other store brands appreciate and respect the ssccrifice of healthcare workers during this pandemic, by allowing us to skip the long queues, it would seem Makro Port Elizabeth has no such policy in place.

I have this disrespectful.
