MAKRO POOR SERVICE

Yesterday, 28 April, I went shopping at Makro Strubensvallei. It was the worst experience to date at that specific shop. I often shop there and most of the time I have to pack my own shopping because the packers is non-existent. Numerous staff would stand around directing customers to the tills or chatting in pairs/groups but nobody to pack. But because the shop is in a convenient location, I would continue to shop there. Yesterday, being the end of the month and a Friday, my assumption was that it would be quick and easy to do my shopping. I was in the shop 2 hours of which 1 hour was in queue to pay. Of all the tills that are available only 5 was open. The customers queuing to pay, stood in 2 queues to eventually merge into 1 queue without any staff member directing the queues. Eventually a verbal shouting match erupted between customers because of the 2 queues having to merge. I went to the bulk section to pay for my purchases. I will most certainly not make use of makro Strubensvallei ever again. Fortunately, there are other merchants available.
