Makro online shopping is useless

I ordered a new Samsung A5 2017 through Makro's online shopping (on 5 August 2017) as the price was very competitive. Only once I had completed my order and paid for it, did I notice it could take up to 21 calander days for delivery as it is a special order. So each day I logged onto the online shopping to check the status, and each day I saw the order was "in progress". As frustrating as waiting 3 weeks for my phone, I was patient and waited until the 21st (26 August 2017) day came. I called the shop that my phone was going to be delivered to, and was advised the manager would call me back. The manager did call me back but with news that the status of the order was unknown as no buyers at head office were at work today (it was a Saturday). I was advised that I would get a call on Monday for an update. On the Monday I was contacted to my dismay that apparently there was some sort of delay between Vodacom and Samsung in the order, and that my oder has been escalated. Only on the Wednesday did the phone arrive (25 days later).

My frustration was, through out my waiting period, I was not notified once about a delay. Only when I physically asked about the status did something actually happen. I will commend those that I was in verbal contact for thier help and politeness.

However, the fact remains, Makro's online shopping is useless. They can't state on the website, which is open to the public, that a product would be delivered in such a time, when delivering occurs out of that time. And secondly, if there is a delay, at least have the courtesy to notify the customer!
