Makro Online Service

I placed an order 02/10/2018 at Makro - MAK979742 . On the website it declares that it will take between 3-5 working days. I followed up Monday 4th day and they stated order is packed and ready for delivery. Tuesday still no parcel , I followed up again 5th day , they explained that the courier appointed did not arrive to pick up the parcel, they appointed another courier for delivery and the parcel will be delivered Wednesday 10/10/2018. Followed up today 10/10/2018 again with Makro, they said the parcel is at the courier, I can myself follow up with them. I called the courier myself, they explained the parcel was picked up yesterday 09/10/2018 but will not be delivered today 10/10/2018, it will only be delivered tomorrow.

This is very disappointing, the parcel is late, as the courier did not arrive, second courier is appointed, when the parcel is already late. Now the second courier has the parcel but will not be delivered today, but tomorrow. I need to follow up myself with the courier, this is not my responsibility to do. I placed a order with Makro, it is Makro responsibility to make sure they use courier company that is efficient and follow up with the courier and complete the order once delivered.

I place a lot of online order, of which there is no courier fees paid and the service is excellent. Now the first time I place a online order at Makro, for a high value , I pay courier fee of R 70 which I can understand, companies differ, but then I expect service, and still the service is disappointing.

The whole process is so disappointing that I will never refer anyone to make a order online at Makro, rather drive there yourself and pay and get your item, because if you do it online it is a disaster and will take forever to arrive.
