Makro Online Return Policy Sucks

Bought a Verimark Genesis Cyclovac from Makro online. Used it for 3 weeks before it broke. Went online and logged a return as it had a 2 year warranty). Received an email saying someone would be in touch shortly. No one contacted me. Repeated emails (at least half a dozen) went ignored. As did repeated attempts to resolve the issue via their whatsapp channel. Eventually received a curt message saying 'online orders can only be logged for return within 14 days of purchase'. I was then recommended to take the machine to my nearest Makro myself. I don't have a Makro store near me, that is why I purchased the vacuum cleaner online. So to sum up, I spent R1000 on a vacuum cleaner that was only operable for 3 weeks. It's the height of summer and I have animals in my home - but no working vacuum cleaner. Will never EVER purchase from Makro online or in store EVER again.

Oh and to finish, decided to write a non flattering review on the Makro website about the ******* vacuum cleaner, only to discover that reviews have to be submitted to Makro so they can be vetted. Lol. Don't think mine would pass review. So Makro online reviews and product ratings are bull****. They only let you see reviews they want you to see. Not an open and honest product review section.
