Makro Online Purchases
Purchased a generator from Makro, online only. Cancelled the order because their payment gateway did not update my order, waited 3 days for Makro to acknowledge my payment, they then said they will refund me. that was on the 28 September. still do date 21 October no refund, i called today, they said they dont know when i will get my refund. very easy to take my money but not to refund it. Email said 5 -10 days, that was 15 days ago.

24 Oct 2024, 08:38So Makro calls me straight away on Monday, telling me they going to sort it out right away, I get an email asking me for bank letter and ID, which i send straight away, then i hear nothing until a email this morning 24 Oct stating However, we regret to inform you that your refund has failed.
Our finance department has advised that they require the following information to proceed with payment for your query.
Proof of payment:
Copy of your ID:
Proof of banking:
What the hell is Makro doing, making any excuse to NOT pay as usual, i doubt i will ever see my money again. it was paid online and now i have to send proof that they have my money, when my online account shows its paid. What a joke. It is extremely dangerous to purchase from Makro online, rather use Takealot at least they refund in 2 to 3 days max
