MAKRO ONLINE PROMOTIONS: A ****

I bought Apple Air-pods Gen 2 Pro (Apple ***) Order number MAK*** online for R3199.00 as advertised on the Makro online platform on the 14th of November 2024.

I received the wrong item (Normal Apple Air-pods Gen 2) on 19th of November 2024. I immediately phoned the Makro Contact Centre and was advised to book a return and the item was collected on 22 November 2024.

Makro Return policy indicates that when an incorrect item is delivered, the product must be returned, which will be assessed following which, the correct item will be dispatched.

Upon querying with the Contract Centre today, since no further communication is received, I am now informed that Makro will refund my money, which is unacceptable. Makro Online advertised the product at a promotional price of R3199.00, allowed me to complete the purchase and accepted my money, so I want the Apple Air-pods Pro 2 (Code ***) that I purchased and do not want a refund.

Unfortunately, there is no longer contact numbers to lodge complaints, only Call Centre Agents that apologise profusely, tell you they will escalate the matter and you never hear from them again.
