Makro online horrible service

Please DO NOT ORDER anything from Makro online. The service is appalling to say the least. I placed an order for grocery items on the 22nd of November 2024. I Received confirmation that the order would be delivered on the 23 November 2024. No order arrived on said date, so I was hoping by Monday 25 November the order would arrive and nothing thus far. Called the contact centre and was told the order was delivered in the morning and no one was home to receive the delivery. No one called me, I was home the whole day. The contact centre then tells me that the order went back to the store and I needed to call the Strubensvalley store directly to arrange collection or cancellation only to be put on hold for almost 30 min by the store whilst they put me through to their online orders department only for that department to put on on hold for another 15 min while they reboot their system to find out about the order. After holding for 15 minutes I was told sorry unfortunately your order was placed with Makro Wonderboom and I need to contact that store as they cannot assist me. I asked the person assisting me for the Wonderboom store number only for her to tell me that they don’t have a contact list for other stores and I would have to call the contact centre to assist. I’m leaving the country soon and I don’t have my order. I want to cancel the order so I can get my money back.
