Makro Online "False Advertising"

Extremely Ticked Off! As my wife wanted a Pressure Cooker, I started scouring the internet for a couple of days. And behold on Saturday 30 May 2026 while searching on Google, I found one that was discounted by 93% from R1299 to R80.41, as I was about to purchase the product, in the back of my mind I immediately thought that this website might be a ****! So I paused to confirm authenticity on Sunday. I contacted Makro and told them that I wanted to confirm the product as I wanted to purchase it. While speaking to the customer care, they claim that it was in error, I explained that they advertised it and per advertising standards they have to honour the price. Regardless, I asked to speak to a manager and this as of the 4 June has not happened. I've contacted them several times on their IR system as well as through WhatsApp portal, but to no avail. Worse is that they adjusted the price on a retail price to R1999 and discounted it to R1599. Original price R1299 and less at other providers. What really upsets me is that Makro is a huge Consumer Product Supplier and if this was Game, also part of Mass Mart, they would have honoured the purchase. They safe guards in place at their IT department and I most probably saved them more harassment. Currently they have marked the product at R999. I have take a screenshot of the product as proof, it was also sent to them on WhatsApp. Their WhatsApp portal is also not upto par with other Online businesses.
