Makro Online - Dishonest Feedback - Order not delivered

On 11th March I placed an order for a 1000W pure sine inverter on the Makro Online portal. To date, the item has not been received. After constant escalations, I kept getting the same excuse "Supplier trying to source stock", sounds pretty standard right, except the supplier lists their available stock on their website. On date of purchase 30 were in stock, earlier this week 7 were in stock and 5 were on purchase order, yet I still get the same excuses day after day.

The pure dishonesty was shocking, and I have lost all faith and trust in Makro Online as an online store. If stock was not available when I bought the item, why did you sell it to me in the first place, and not even inform me there was no stock. Even communications throughout the order were terrible. I had to phone MAKRO after the 5 to 7 business days communicated delivery time had lapsed. No email, no SMS and no phonecall to tell me my item was delayed due to no stock.

I have requested a refund and will no longer use Makro online ever again. I do not recommend Makro as an online retailer, rather use Takealot as they at least are honest and manage stock properly.
