Makro Online disappointment

Wanted to buy my little one a Tricycle, in store they say we can only buy it online. Bought one online without hasstles, the day of delivery they cancel the order due to no stock. How is that possible? When I make and pay the order shouldn't the product be reserved for the customer. Very very disappointed in how they operate how do you cancel on the day of delivery after the long wait?!
