MAKRO Online clickbait

Online shopping should make our lives easier, not tougher. I think many will agree that the Makro online platform is not very user friendly, but what's worse is being offered a so-called Birthday special, and it turns out to be clickbait, or a plain rip-off. MAKRO online states that 750ml of Jameson whiskey is R349 per bottle, down from R399, it says. It, however, sweetens the deal to three for R979...which it says is a saving of R68! But on trying to checkout, I am being debited R1047. I cancelled the order, obviously, but I thought this deserves special mention here, because we cannot have Makro being this unprofessional. Time is money, and that clickbait is wasting customers' precious time.

And what's even worse, there's a chat page for customers, but, contrary to the spirit of chat sites, the response never came, despite trying twice! Many competent customer departments respond immediately to chats. I must say this is very disappointing coming from such a major retailer.
