Makro Online

I ordered a home gym from Makro Online.(They claim to deliver in 2 to 5 days). The order was confirmed (By email) on 18 Jan. Order was declared packed (By email) on 25 Jan. Then nothing happened. On 4 Feb, I went to my local Makro, where they informed me that the item comes from the Carnival store. We phoned them, but they were not sympathetic. Through this time, I have phoned the national number twice, and they apologized and promised to follow up and come back. They never did. I also sent in a review explaining my situation; they apologized and promised to come back, but nothing. On 10 Feb I went to Carnival store. They had to get it from the warehouse, apparently never packed. They told me the problem is the Makro national online center which, according to the online section at Carnival, ‘doesn’t know how Makro works.’ My advice, although Makro is a great store with good well priced products. Go there, buy it, and take it home. Do not use Makro online. Stick to Takealot; they know how to do online orders.
