Makro- Not keeping their Delivery Promise

I bought 3 items online. The delivery date stated was 22 December 2026. On Saturday, 20 December 2026, I received a box which stated that the 3 items were in it. I didn't open the box until today, when I saw an email stating that 3 items would be delivered to me today. I further received a WhatsApp from the couriers company stating that my goods were dispatched and was on its way to one of its hubs. When I tracked the parcel, it stated that delivery will onl5be made on Monday , 29 December 2026. I phoned Makro. The response was that the items were split that was why I would receive one item on 29 December. I responded that I was informed when I bought the items, that the delivery date would be 22 December. Further I was not told about any split. I advised that I bought the outstanding item as a Christmas present. I then asked to speak to the Manager but was kept holding for over 20 minutes. Frustrated I cut the call. I have bought online on numerous companies. If an item is not available immediately, the company usually advises that there would be a split delivery. If I was not satisfied, I normally cancelled the order. With Makro, this did not happen. This absolutely poor service. I will not buy online from them again.
