Makro not honouring the advertised price
On 7 October, Makro had advertised on their online store a Marshall Acton Bluetooth Speaker for R449. I order and paid for it. I then recieved a confiration email. On Monday morning the offer was still available and my cart showed my order was in process.
On 10 October, I received an SMS saying "As promised here is your Makro Electronic gift card no 1********* for 100 for use before 10/10/19. Terms & conditions..." When I checked their online store then, all Marshall products had been removed. My cart, however, was still full and order still bring processed. Only difference was now the value of my cart was showing.
On 11 October, I received an SMS saying "Please note, Makro has processed the refund of your recent online order..."
This is completely unacceptable. According to the CPA a retailer should honour the advertised price of a product. Especially once the product has been ordered and pay for. Absolutely pathetic service from such a huge retailer, they feel that because they are so big they are above the law??
