MAKRO NEWMARKET, what has happened to you??

I have been shopping at Makro Newmarket for the better part of 4 years. (That equates to about 200 visits). Spending anything between R15000 and R30000 monthly for my Petrol station. It has become apparent that service is no longer their priority. This is not the first time that I have had to ask the same questions. I use the traders tills as I am shopping for a business. Let me start by sharing my experience this morning. I approached the tills and waited about 5 minutes to be served. Wait, actually I was not served but had to ask to be served. Sounds quick right??? I was the ONLY person in the queue! Another customer had to tell me that the cashier was avaliable because her back was turned away from the queue the entire time. So I approached the till for the lady to log off and leave. Thats right, not tell me she was going on tea or lunch or bathroom, just walk away...So back to the line that no one was standing in. Another cashier opens up so I move on to the till. NO greeting, just a look up and down to which I reply, GOOD MORNING. The cashier responds not by saying hello, but by telling me that because I was muttering that I was not happy at the previous cashier logging off and walking away while I was standing right next to her, she decided not to greet me. Anyway, give people a second chance, she begrudgingly rings up my items, gives me my change and turns her back. I proceeded to say GOODBYE, please call again in the hopes that she may let go of her pathetically bad attitude and understand that at very least she is lucky to be employed and that she gets paid because many customers like myself, choose to spend their money at Makro. Anyway, I don't expect anything to come of this as the management are terrible at Makro Newmarket and have forgotten that without customers, they would not be there!!! Clearly my pittance (R20 to R30 grand per month) is not enough to warrant service, or at least a greeting? Time to start calling around to see if there are companies that remember their customers needs. I will copy on facebook to see if anyone is interested in small to medium retail business needs.
