Makro mystery reply
Makro apparently rep**** to my complaint (privately) involving their incompetence in delivering a microwave I ordered online - after many delays on tbeir part the microwave was returned. I was horrified to find out that I would have to wait 14 days for my refund when the whole disater was a result of Makro's incompetence. I asked for my refund to happen immediately. Their reply to me was private- a message appeared on messanger from one cart- they have NO idea what the issue is. Makro is ckearly using delaying tactics

17 Nov 2024, 11:26- I am still very upset by the total lack of caring from Makro - tomorrow will be 14 days since the microwave was returned, due to the gross incompetence of Makro online, and I still have not received my refund. Got a worthless message from Makro stating that my refund had been processed without any indication of when the refund will appear in my account. I have been without a microwave for over a month and Makro clearly does not care at all. Very unhappy customer

Weeks ago Makro told me that my refund will be escalated after informing me that refunfs take up to 14 days to reflect in my account. It has been 15 days and no money in my account ( give me an email address so I can send pic of statement).please email me proof that payment was made into my account. I rep**** with an attachnent of a screen shot of my Absa account showing payment of R1500 to Makro but NO REFUND payment from Makro. It was obviously NOT an immediate payment adding to my frustration. Hope it appears eventually.

20 Nov 2024, 12:37It takes up to 14 working days to process a refund and then a further 14 working days for the refund to reflect. This means customers may have to wait up to a month for their refund to reflect. How any company is allowed such an absurdly long period for a refund to reflect is both baffling abd disturbing. I have to perhaps to go a month without a micriwave thanks to Makro's gross incompetence.

21 Nov 2024, 14:04The money finally appeared in my account today sfter 15 days. Just to let you know that Makro online has many misleading adverts. The microwave I ordered was supposed to be a microwave and grill combo. For R15000 this is impossible as such combo microwaves cost at least R3000. Makro online also advertuses a microwave and oven combo at R1250 which is impossible - the make is RAF.Hope Mako online is not using misleading adverts to earn interest on customers money that they hold for weeks.
