Makro misleading cellphone marketing

I purchase a phone from Makto online and it not working I phone them they were taking me from pillar to post and yesterday they **** about sequence of events. I am escalating this matter because of the following reasons: 1.Misrepresentation of events by saying yesterday someone spoke to me while the call was transferred rang till drop.

2. Rude callers from Springfield Makro who claim that the phone was written locked, when I asked where the gentlemant said they were not part of the transaction and can't help which I find it very unprofessional.

3. They said the fone is a VL and I asked what does that mean they said it stands for vodacom locked Sim, I asked how would I know then the gentleman said " angazike bengingekho uthenga online" which this may mean it non of his business. This has shocked me and makes me boil and asked him is it how he is trained to talk to customers? Does this mean I'm compelled to use restricted phone, what are the consumer rights for misleading display with VL?
