Makro just doesn't care
Yesterday my eldest celebrated his 8 year birthday. A very big day for him and our family alike.
Given the special offers on some of Pepsi's brands being offered at 12X300ml going on offer at 2 packs for R100 we thought it would make a nice refreshment as part of his party packs to be made for his school class mates.
We were lucky enough to get 4 trays of 12. Once we got home and started putting the packs together we found that 1 of the bottles had an odd shape that I know to be associated with it having reached or past the best before date.
When we checked the dates on all packs we found that it had best before dates of the 29th of February 2020 and the 1st of March 2020 on all packs that we purchased. As livid as we were I gave the company the opportunity to fix their failings. This was by sending my enquiry to their WhatsApp number last night. To date the only response received was the one from a chatbot.
Add to this the fact that we had to rush out this morning to get juices from an alternate store that was open early enough for us to get juices to make up for the failings of your organisation. Work was only reached at 10h30 when we live directly opposite the school and we would have just had the task of dropping off the packs but that was not possible because you can't be bothered to ensure that you selling us goods which are fit for consumption.
Can you imagine me taking such a product to school and sharing it during this time of uncer*****y? I really hope that you bother to respond to this complaint.
Regards,
Lee
PS: You didn't even bother to respond to a twitter post regarding the same matter.
