Makro creating TV license ********ly

My partner and I wanted to purchase a TV from Makro online. There is also a step where they validate if you have or owe TV license. My partner does not have TV license so an additional R265 was added to the bill to cover the TV license. We never proceeded to purchase the TV but now she is getting SMS's that she must pay her TV license or penalties will be charged. I called SABC to cancel this account because the TV was never bought and they said we must now make affidavits of this. why must we take time of work to visit a police station to make an affidavit where Makro messed up? How do Makro create TV license without confirmation that a TV was actually purchased? How do Makro create TV license with proof of residence or proof of identification? SABC can't help, Makro doesn't answer their phone, what am I to do??????????
