Makro Centurion: Selling rotten chips

I bought a bag of braai Nik Nak chips for my daughter's party packs in October the 2nd 2018. We just packed the party packs without realizing that they had a best before date of May 2017. The children consumed these chips until an adult brought it to my attention that they were stale and had white growths on them.

This is very irresponsible of makro to do this. Must we now check every item that is purchased in-store.
