Please dont tip Makro employees who help you carry heavy loads or merchandise to your vehicle. No matter how good or kind the service the service, please dont insist on them accepting a tip. Employees at the Bloemfontein Makro get fired with immediate effect for accepting any form of gratuity from customers. Even though the company doesnt lose anything from it, but the employees get punished for providing excellent noteworthy service. So to the Indian guy who tipped employees who helped you carry your goods to your vehicle a few weeks back.. just know that those guys are no longer working there for accepting the tip. Classic example of "no good deed goes unpunished"
