Makro Bennet Read Inferior Items

I purchased a Bennet Read handheld vacuum from Makro on the 16th November. This item has suddenly after being fully charged lasted 10 minutes when I vacuumed. I took it back to the store today on the 1 December and was told that they have to send it for repairs. Now this is what I ask myself…. When I walked into Makro Ottery today you can see all the returns of these Bennet Read products lined up. All defective items. I wanted a refund and was told that they have to send the item in for repairs. I had this product for 15 days inclusive of today’s date the 1st December. Now when I read Makro’s terms and conditions online it states in their imp**** warranty Section 55 clause c - They will be useable and durable (will last) for a reasonable of time…. If the goods are not suitable for the purpose which they are intended to or otherwise fail to comply with the requirements listed in section 55, the consumer is entitled to return them at the suppliers risk and expense without penalty; and A) Have the items repaired B) Have the items replaced C) Get a full refund of the price paid

Further to this you have an important clause…. That the customer cannot be forced to have the good repaired…etc

Today we were told that no, the item is out of the warranty and it must be repaired.

Makro I do insist a refund on the goods as ithis item does not do the job and is an inferior product.
