Makro benefitting from covid19 pandemic

I recently visited Makro crown mines and was refused entry because i had a face shield on, there is no government regulation that says a face shield is not allowed, it says that the mouth and nose need to be fully covered which the face shield does, Makro has a internal policy which says that no customer is allowed in store with a face shield only, they need to have both a face shield and a mask, nowhere has Makro ever communicated this nor do they provide any alternative, their solution is that you must buy a mask from them, i travelled quite a distance to get there and the feedback given was that i need to buy a mask from them and wear a mask and a face shield. If Makro has an internal policy that no face shield alone is allowed they need to communicate this or provide an alternative as this is not a government regulation, Makro is forcing consumers to purchase a mask thus taking advantage of the pandemic and increasing its profits

The manager also called the operations person Hennie Gouws who could not provide a reason as to why Makro has a different policy from government and i was told that their internal policy applies, i have no issue with their policy but they should communicate or provide free disposable masks if they are not communicating as an alternative not force consumers to buy from them to increase their profits
