Lost accessory at Makro Germiston

Good day

I went to the Makro Germiston to repair my 720w inverter on the 10th of March along with the inverter plug. I received my inverter back the Thursday before the long weekend. I was so excited to get home and finally use it after a month of not having it.

Unfortunately, to my dismay the plug was missing. I then called and emailed the Markro Germiston store with no response. I couldnt go on Friday because theu were closed and resolved to query this on the Saturday.

On Saturday i went to the store to query the missing plug and I was greeted by a very annoyed sounding assistant who mentioned to me that my slip/receipt was noted as no accessories being received with the inverter. I told her that i saw that but not at the point where i had returned the inverter but only when i got home after having collected it and by that point it was too late. She told me to return on Monday as the person who originally assisted me would be able to help with this query.

I now returned to makro for a 3rd time and was told that they never take a unit in with the plug. But then where is my plug for the inverter. I still cannot use and there would be no reason for me to lie about a missing plug.

I was then told nothing could be done and i would have to purchase a new plug, not even at Makro but at Hirsh's or Ellies itself. I was given contact details and told to resolve this on my own.

I am deeply saddened about all the wasted time, effort and money it has taken to resolve this, especially during the easter weekend that is supposed to be filled with relaxation anf family time that i had to forgo in order to resolve this issue.

I am deeply annoyed and frustated by this branch of Makro Germiston and in future i will have check a recept, which as a customer i shouldnt have to do and the onus should not be on me to ensure.

To date i am still trying to source this plug and still cannot use my inverter. In future i will take my business elsewhere.
