Lies regarding Defy fridge warrantee.
Do not buy any electrical equipment especially Defy from Makro South Africa, especially Makro Vaal. They enaure you that you get 5year warrantee on th Defy fridge, when it fails in that period, they say sorry...you only have 3 years warrantee. They are fruadenlty misleading their customers.

Sales staff often mention "up to 5 years" to highlight maximum possible coverage (which requires registration or an extra fee), but only the duration printed on the receipt or the official Defy manual is legally binding.
You can still request a repair directly from Defy, though you will have to pay for the call-out fee and any spare parts.
