Just give up on ecommerce

I placed an order and on Tursday I received and email from Makro saying it had been handed to Courier Guy. The delivery ETA on the order was today 19 December. The tracking info had not updated from preparing since Thursday. After much effort I got hold of Courier Guy today (19 December) who said it hasn't even beern collected yet. So not opnly did Makro lie about it being collected on Thursday it still wasn't even collected yesterday with no plans to collect it today (the day it was meant to deliver). I can't get a straight answer from anyone about when it will actually be delivered. If you're unable to hanlde ecommerce or festive season then you shouldn't be doing it.
