Irritated with low quality CADAC from Makro

Bought a CADAC heater at Makro, it's using up gas for absolutely nothing. For starters the igniter doesn't seem to be working as i bought gas today yet it has a sound as though gas is almost finished. Only 1 bar in the middle works and this is a new heater! I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with my choice of brand and outlet for keeping such a low quality product. We asked the sales people which gas stove they'd suggest and this is what they said would be ideal. We've had our Goldair gas heater for years and this works like a charm. I need this heater replaced, it's a waste of money and i'm wasting my gas on it too! I would have preferred righting directly to Makro but they seem to be having tech difficulties.
