Incorrect Information from Makro New Market

I went to Makro to go buy a washing machine as ours is broken. We were told we need an affidavit to buy a washing machine. They even showed us the affidavit that another customer has to buy a washing machine. Also other customers were buying TVs but I cant buy a washing machine to clean clothes. The next day we drove to the police station to get an affidavit and the police told us they are not allowed to give affidavits for this purpose. I phoned the manager of the Makro we went to (Makro New Market) and he could not tell me where it states we need an affidavit to buy a washing machine. I asked him to show me something so I can take it the police to get an affidavit and he could not give me a place to find the regulation. All he stated was that they can sell with an affidavit. Clearly Makro does not give the correct information. If they told me I need an affidavit as well as an essential service certificate it would be another story and I would know what is required.
